Customer Service Rep

Problem resolution, time management skills and wearing a happy face each and every day are just some of the many skills Shyla, a Placon customer service rep extraordinare, uses in her position.

What do you do at Placon?

It can vary from handling and resolving customer issues, following up on, or processing orders, supply tracking and some general accounting duties.

How does your job impact our customer?

At the end of the day, my job is to make sure our customers are taken care of and happy. I love talking through issues and helping find creative ways to solve them. I also really enjoy interacting with so many different personalities! Being in customer service you develop this connection with a customer based on honesty and sometimes a little sense of humor. I think both of these things help me form these great long-standing customer relationships.

What’s it like working at Placon?

Placon really nurtures a great team environment which makes work enjoyable. It also helps that I work with the most wonderful customers.

Best career advice you could give someone?

Be passionate about what you do. If you don’t feel that enthusiasm about what you’re doing, it’s probably not the right career for you.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I really enjoy reading a great book, listening to music and of course, spending time with my family.
